Unexpectedly, this seemingly benign birthday message sparked a storm of cyber attacks against Wodumo. Some online trolls took offense, alleging a romantic history between her and Dj Tira. One individual, Philile Ngubane, particularly expressed disbelief, claiming that the use of “big brother” was peculiar given their alleged past intimacy. Ngubane wasn’t alone in these beliefs, as others insinuated that Dj Tira, rather than Mamphitsha, could be the actual father of Babes Wodumo’s child.
