Man killed, cousin assaulted and dumped in Bush near Zwelisha, KZN A brutal assault has left one man dead and another seriously injured after the two cousins were attacked and dumped in a bush near a river leading to Zwelisha. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the scene at approximately 09h14 after receiving reports of the incident. Paramedics declared one of the men dead upon arrival, while the second victim, who was found in a semi-conscious state, had already been rushed to a medical facility by private transport. According to RUSA, the deceased sustained extensive blunt force trauma to the head, face, and body. Community members confirmed that the two men are cousins who lived together in the area. The motive behind the attack remains unclear as police continue to investigate.
